Our day in the Park

What a brilliant day we had in St Columb's Park yesterday - the weather was perfect and our kids did us proud 😁😍

We spent the day working on our team work and group work skills, and enhancing our mental health and wellbeing... All while enjoy the beautiful nature around us!

🔥Fire building🔥
We learnt safety around fire and camp fires. We were able to make sparks using special tools and create our own fire... And we even got to toast marshmallows and have hot chocolate around the fire ♨️🍫

❗Adventure Park❗
Here we got to build forts using old branches and tree parts. We were able to climb trees, relax in hammocks, and use tree swings. And we learnt about and built our own water filtration systems using plastic bottles 🍶

🚶🏻‍♀️Nature Walk🚶
On our Nature Walk, we learnt about different tree and plant types. We used our senses to listen for different sounds and feel different types of bark. We learnt how bees are endangered and how a bee hive works. We even got to do some planting that we can go back and see in years to come 🌻🌺🌸👀😁

🏅Sport's Day 🏅
We were able to get all our running races for Sport's Day done today also on the running field 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️😁

And of course....

Lots of time to eat our lunch and snacks.... And have some free time in the play park.... Finished with ice creams 🍦😁😍

WOW what a day 😁😁

Everyone had a brilliant time - there is a lot of photos so we will post plenty over the next few days 😁
