Our typical day starts with structured play in the front garden. After break the p1s were improving their hand and finger muscles with some squishy play dough. It is so important to gain strength in their hands before they begin writing. The p2s had a group reading session on the carpet followed by a writing exercise to reinforce finger spaces between words. In the afternoon the p2s were drawing 13 Autumn leaves - our number of the week.
